Everest Base Camp Trek is the most popular trek in the Everest region. The trek starts from Lukla and ends at Namche Bazaar, which is the village closest to Mount Everest. The route follows the Dudh Kosi river valley through rhododendron forests and alpine meadows to the base camp of Mount Everest at 5200m. The Everest base camp trek is a once-in-a-lifetime experience for any traveler. It is a true test of endurance, and the reward is seeing one of the most beautiful places on earth: Mount Everest. Nepal is home for mountains like Ama Dablam, Manaslu, Annapurna, Makalu, Island Peak, Lobuche Peak and many more.

The trek begins at Lukla, where you will fly into an airport with a runway that is only long enough for small planes. This is one of the most dangerous airports in the world, but it’s also one of the most scenic flights you’ll ever take. Then it’s off on foot through some of the most rugged terrain in the world.

You’ll hike through jungles and forests, across rivers, and up mountains—all while taking in stunning views of your surroundings and getting closer to Mount Everest with each step forward! You’ll stop at villages along the way where you can see how people live in this part of Nepal, which has very little electricity or modern conveniences like running water or toilets.

Finally, after about fourteen days’ worth of hiking (about 40 miles), you’ll reach Base Camp at over 18,000 feet above sea level! From there you can see both sides of Mount Everest: China on one side and Nepal on the other side from where we stand now. If you’re thinking about trekking to Everest Base Camp, it’s important to understand the difficulty of the hike. The trek is considered to be an extremely strenuous hike, and it can take up to 14 days if you are traveling from Lukla (the starting point) to EBC.
